Fly Fishing 101

This small group session is a fantastic introduction to the fundamentals of fly fishing! Topics covered will include: proper selection/rigging of the fly rod, reel, line, and leader; basic fly casting; basic knot-tying; and an introduction to fly patterns, what they imitate, and how to fish them. In addition, participants receive a one-time 15% discount on any full-priced, shop merchandise.

Sign-ups can be done on this page, and attendees will receive an email confirmation of their reservation. Classes will take place here at Confluence Fly Shop in the Old Mill District, and attendees are asked to arrive between 9:50-10am to ensure an on-time start!

In order to give everyone enough time to have their questions addressed during the session, each class will be capped at 8 students. For groups larger than 8, special arrangements can be made by emailing info@confluenceflyshop.com.

Classes will be offered twice a week (Thursdays and Saturdays from May 10th-August 30th).
