Beginner Fly Tying – March Session

As part of the natural progression of fly fishing, many of you may be getting interested in learning how to tie your own flies! We at Confluence Fly Shop are proud to offer our “Beginner Fly Tying” course. Each “session” consists of four, two-hour long classes, which are taught by our expert staff and take place in the shop. The fee of $100/student covers the cost of tools and materials for the duration of the class. During these four classes, students will:

• learn about the tools involved in fly tying and how each is used
• learn about the different materials and when/how they are used
• tie 4-6 different patterns (depending on complexity)
• learn tips, tricks, and techniques used by experienced tyers

With a limit of 9 tyers/session, each student will have the time and space to receive individual assistance from the instructor, as well as ask any questions that may arise during the course. The schedule is as follows:

Session 1 (Tuesdays in January): Jan. 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th from 6pm-8pm @ Confluence Fly Shop

Session 2 (Wednesdays in February): Feb. 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th from 6pm-8pm @ Confluence Fly Shop

Session 3 (Thursdays in March): Mar. 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th from 6pm-8pm @ Confluence Fly Shop. Note: Signing up for the first class in the session will sign you up for all four sessions.
