Learn essential fly rod casting techniques like overhead casts, roll casts, and the phases in each one that will bring your skills to the next level. We’ll have you fishing like a pro in no time!

Free Casting Workshops at Farewell Bend Park
Saturdays are for Spey
On the first Saturdays of January, February, and March from 8am to 9:30am, we host on-the-water spey casting workshops on the sandy beach at Farewell Bend Park (just downstream of Bill Healy Bridge). Bring your own rod or use one of our demos. Boots & Waders suggested. We will provide hot coffee. No sign-up required, just show up!
Practice Casting Through the Old Mill
Free Old Mill Casting Course
Free and open to the public, the Old Mill’s permanent fly casting course is designed for practicing essential fly casting skills. Each station of the 5-hole course has unique challenges for all skill levels.
