Dan has been guiding and sharing his passion with fly fishers and whitewater enthusiasts since 1997. Raised on the shores of North Lake Tahoe, Dan first picked up a fly rod at the age of eight and was fortunate to develop under the guidance of some of the sport’s legends. After studying Fisheries Biology and Entomology at Humboldt State University and earning a Federation of Flyfishers Casting Certification, Dan spent years working and guiding in the fly fishing industry. Dan also instructed and helped develop fishing programs on rivers in both California and Oregon. When not working in the fly shop or guiding the water of Central Oregon, Dan spends his free time fishing on his own, editing his photographs and videos, developing global fly fishing travel and yoga adventures with his wife Kari, and most importantly being a father to his son Auckland.
