Stocking schedules have remained consistent. Euro nymphing or light weight wool strike indicators are both effective out here. Fine fluorocarbon tippet is a must. Crooked River

The Crooked is low but fishing well. Look for deeper pockets where those fish have cover. Blue winged olives and midges provide the majority of topwater action. In anticipation of the Trout Season Opener on the Lower Deschutes, we’re extending a special thank you to all of our customers on Saturday, April 7th.

Beginning in the shop at 10:00am, come attend clinics hosted by Industry and Shop Pros, see the newest product from the sport’s leading brands, and take advantage of “Event Day Only” promotions in the shop. At 6:00pm, the event moves to the Deschutes River Banquet Room at the Hampton Inn Hotel, where we’ll host a FREE BBQ dinner, beer, great Raffle Prizes, and a movie. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Intro to Winter Steelheading @ Confluence Fly Shop | Bend | Oregon | United States

Join Reid Curry and Jeremiah Houle for a complete immersion into swinging flies for winter steelhead. This two-day course starts in the shop’s classroom, where we’ll go over gear, tactics, and fly selection. The second half of day 1 will be spent on the Deschutes River, casting & learning which lines are to be used in winter fishing. On the second day, test your newly acquired skills in front of wild winter steelhead on the beautiful North Santiam River.
